Good morning, Cyberspace! It’s crazy to me that we are already a week out from Christmas Eve! How insane is that?! I feel like December is absolutely flying by, but at the same time, I feel like I’ve been able to get so much rest this month! I truly feel blessed.
Yesterday I said that I was going to share some of the stories I’ve got percolating in my brain, but I’ve decided to switch things up and actually talk about that tomorrow. (Or possibly Friday. It’s up for debate.)
Today, I’m going completely off the rails and sharing a Tiny Tale I wrote earlier this year during a vacation to Florida! I want to say this change of plans is due to me being sparked by the creative bug, but in all seriousness it’s because I don’t have a lot of brain power today and need to reserve what energy I have left for resting. (#yay healing!)
I’ll be back on Thursday with a more thought out blog post, but today, enjoy this miniature piece of flash fiction!
BLOGMAS, 2025 – A TINY TALE
Once upon a time there was
a girl who lost her mind. She tried so hard to keep it safe,
and therefore hid it in a place where no one could find it
…not even herself.“I’ll remember where it is!” she chirped–
forgetting, as usual, that she couldn’t quite remember
what she had for breakfast.
“It is quite safe here, I’m sure.”And with a hop and a skip,
she disappeared down the path,
never to return again.
TALK TO ME, PEASANTS!
Have you ever written miniature stories? Eventually, I would like to expand this into a more fully fledged tale, but this is all there is for now! Would you be interested in what comes next?
